'Very unfortunate': Mukul Rohatgi on attack on Chief Justice BR Gavai

In an exclusive interview with India Today's Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai, former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi spoke on the attack on Chief Justice of India BR Gavai in the Supreme Court.

Mukul Rohatgi called the incident "very unfortunate" and added, "What is shocking is that it is a case of a lawyer. The man who threw the shoe was a lawyer and he was a lawyer of about 70 years of age." 

Rohatgi praised the Chief Justice for maintaining his calm and choosing not to press charges. He further suggested that senior members of the judiciary, the bar, and the law ministry should establish a code of conduct to prevent such events from recurring.
