Uttarakhand Cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat has been expelled by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami from the Cabinet. He has also been dismissed by the BJP from the party for six years, citing indiscipline.
Harak Singh Rawat is likely to join the Congress on Monday in the presence of Harish Rawat and other senior party leaders.
Sources said that the MLA from Kotdwar has purportedly been removed from the Cabinet and the party's primary membership after he met with some Congress leaders ahead of the upcoming Assembly election. He reportedly visited Delhi on Sunday.
Harak Singh Rawat told India Today he was not aware of the proceedings against him.
