Uttarakhand glacier burst: A local in Raini village recalls horror | Ground Report

India Today TV brings you a ground report from the Raini village in Uttarakhand -- one of the worst-hit areas by the glacier burst that took place in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Sunday. As the rescue operation continues, bodies of 15 people have been recovered. Two villages are believed to be washed away and two NTPC projects have faced major damages.

Speaking to India Today TV, a local recalled what had happened as a portion of the Nanda Devi glacier broke off in Chamoli, triggering an avalanche and a deluge in the Alaknanda river system that washed away hydroelectric stations.
