Uttar Pradesh bypolls: Mayawati launches Bahujan Samaj Party's slogan

As Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for the upcoming bypolls, Mayawati on Saturday announced her party, Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) slogan. The BSP chief gave a slogan, "Judenge toh surakshit rahenge, (We will be safe if we are together).

Mayawati said, "During the Samajwadi Party's government, it wasn’t officials running the government but the mafia and thugs. We have such reports that in these by-elections, SP is telling its goons and mafias internally that 'if we (SP) will win these by-elections, and if we will form the government in future, then only you can be protected'"

Bypolls will be held on November 13 in the nine assembly seats. This bypolls is a prestige battle for BJP's Yogi Adityanath while it is a litmus test for Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP).
