US deports Indian student over support for Hamas

Bahadur Khan Suri, an Indian national and postdoctoral fellow at Georgetown University, has been detained by US federal immigration authorities. His visa has been revoked over alleged support for Hamas. The Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed Suri is suspected of terrorism and is considered a senior advisor to Hamas. Suri's lawyers argue it may be his Palestinian-American wife's activities that led to the action.
