Unnao Special Investigation: CBI FIR, chargesheet show sharp contradiction

After two months of probe in Unnao rape-accident case, the CBI filed a chargesheet on Friday stripping accused Kuldeep Singh Sengar of the attempt to murder or conspiracy charges. This came in contrast to the FIR filed against Senger before.

While the FIR had booked Sengar and nine others with murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation, in the chargesheet, Sengar does not face murder, attempt to murder or conspiracy charges. The only charge he faces is of criminal intimidation.

India Today TV travelled to the accident site in Raebareli to talk to the eyewitnesses and found stark differences between the CBI FIR and chargesheet. Watch ground report.
