Unnao rape victim accident: CBI probe begins, officials say car was over-speeding, hit truck from behind

As the Unnao rape case survivor battles for life, the Central Bureau of Investigation has started its investigation in the accident case that left her critically injured and two of her aunts dead. The CBI has carried out an initial probe of how the accident took place and found that the car was over-speeding when it lost control and hit the truck from behind.

A few weeks before the accident the Unnao rape victim's family had written a letter to the CJI Ranjan Gogoi saying there was a threat and danger to their lives allegedly by the accused persons in the case but the letter never reached him.
