Union minister says 'free Covid vaccine for all' after similar BJP claim triggers row in Bihar

Union minister Pratap Sarangi said on Sunday that all the citizens of India will be given free coronavirus vaccine, amidst the demand by the Opposition for a “free vaccine for all” and not only in poll-bound Bihar as announced by the saffron party. The BJP’s “free coronavirus vaccination for all” promise in Bihar ahead of the state assembly election has become hugely controversial with the ruling party fending off allegations of an “appalling” attempt to use the vaccine for its political agenda.
