Nirmam government: PM Modi slams Mamata Banerjee for not implementing Surya Scheme

The PM highlighted the central government's efforts in implementing the PM Surya free electricity scheme across India, noting that thousands of crores have been allocated to help families install solar plants on their roofs. He emphasised a vision for the state, saying, 'I want lakhs of families from West Bengal to also avail this free electricity. Your electricity bill should zero.'

The Prime Minister questioned why the benefits of such schemes are not reaching the people of the state effectively, comparing the potential reach to a 'flood-like calamity' of benefits. The speech focused on the contrast between central initiatives and the local government's role in facilitating these solar energy benefits for residents in West Bengal.
