Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, who has been in power for four terms, submitted his resignation to Governor Tathagata Roy today in Agartala, a day after BJP wrested power from CPI(M) in assembly election.
Walking out of the Governor's house, Manik Sarkar said, "I had come here to submit my resignation, governor has asked me to continue till the new chief minister is decided as it is a normal way. So will continue till then and I thank all the people who had been with me all these years."
