Trinamool leader makes sexist remarks about BJP MLA, she hits back

Trinamool Congress leader Asit Mazumdar stirred controversy on Thursday as he made sexist remarks about BJP MP Locket Chatterjee. He claimed that the BJP MP was secretly collaborating with Trinamool while remaining in the saffron party.

The BJP has condemned the remarks. Locket Chatterjee called the statements by the TMC MLA ‘sad’ and asserted that Trinamool men "think it is okay to destroy the dignity of women." She said this is not an isolated comment and also called upon Mamata Banerjee to respond.
