This could be a pan-India scam: Mumbai Police chief on TRP scandal

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh talked about the TRP fixing scam, how the probe was started and more.

"This could be a pan-India scam. Mumbai has just about 2,000 BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) barometers and there are about 30,000 barometers across the country. Even if just a small number of them have been manipulated, it has significant impact on TRP ratings which is directly related to advertisement revenue for TV channels," Param Bir Singh said.
