Terror alert sounded ahead of International Yoga Day; security upped in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR

A terror alert has been issued ahead of the third International Yoga Day on Wednesday. Intelligence agencies have warned of a possible lone wolf attack.

Following the warning, security has been beefed up across Delhi and NCR. Security in other places like Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat has also been tightened. According to intelligence reports, terrorist outfits have activated their sleeper cells to carry out attacks on the occasion.

Lucknow - the venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Yoga Day celebration -  is also on the radar of terrorist organisations.
