Thin attendance marked in J&K schools

A month after government imposed restrictions in the Kashmir Valley and revoked Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, attendance in various schools in the Valley remained thin. The worst-hit of this situation are Kashmiri students, who have been skipping school for a very long time.

Though most schools in the new Union Territory are open, a very thin attendance has been reported. Many parents in J&K have been wary of sending their children to school citing lack of transport and communication facilities.
