Telangana rains: Death toll touches 70, Army, NDRF teams on alert

No end in sight to the rain woes in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is facing the brunt of heavy rainfall in last the one week. A total of 70 people have lost their lives so far in rain-related incidents in Telangana, including 33 in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area.

Meanwhile, more rains have been predicted for Hyderabad and yellow alert has been issued for today and tomorrow. The Army and NDRF teams have been put on alert as more rains are expected.

The Telangana capital had witnessed one of the worst deluges in recent times following an unprecedented downpour in over a century early this week, with about 20 cm of rains being recorded in the city and its surrounding areas.
