The Supreme Court is reviewing the bail granted to Kannada actor Darshan in connection with the murder of his fan, Renukaswamy. The Karnataka Police appealed to the apex court after the Karnataka High Court granted bail. A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Pardivala noted its dissatisfaction with the High Court's order. The court observed, "We are not convinced that the High Court's order was correct." Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, representing Darshan, argued that the case should be evaluated purely on the issue of evidence. The Supreme Court did not pass any orders on the matter and has scheduled the next hearing for the following week.
