Statehood of J&K will be restored at 'appropriate time': Amit Shah

Speaking in the Lok Sabha on Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir will be restored "at an appropriate time". Shah was speaking on the Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2021.

The Home Minister said many MPs have expressed reservations about the Bill. "Nowhere it's written that J&K won't get statehood. Where are you drawing conclusion from?" Amit Shah asked the Opposition.
