Sourav Ganguly reacts to Jadavpur student suicide, demands strict laws

Former cricketer and ex-BCCI president Sourav Ganguly recited to the recent suicide in Jadavpur University in West Bengal, asserting the need for strict action and laws to curb such cases. “It’s shocking. There have to be strict laws to control this. It’s ridiculous and a shame,” the former India team captain said while speaking to the media on Friday. A 17-year-old student died after falling from a second-floor balcony of a hostel last week. His family has alleged he was a victim of ragging.
