The Indian tricolour which was spotted among a sea of pro-Donald Trump supporters during the US Capitol Hill violence in Washington has triggered a fierce Twitter spat between Congress's Shashi Tharoor and Bharatiya Janata Party's Varun Gandhi. The Twitter argument between Shashi Tharoor and Varun Gandhi went as far as the BJP MP digging out a 2015 picture of Shashi Tharoor with a Donald Trump supporter who backed the US President's electoral fraud charges in the 2020 US Presidential election. The Twitter spat began on Thursday during the US Capitol attack by the pro-Trump mob when a video of an unidentified person waving the Indian tricolour amid dozens of US flags and the pro-Trump mob started doing rounds on social media.
