Shahid Afridi's remarks on Modi government, Rahul Gandhi spark political row

A political controversy has erupted between the BJP and Congress, triggered by comments from former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. In an interview on Pakistani television, Afridi praised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating, "Rahul Gandhi bahut positive mind set wala aadmi hai" (Rahul Gandhi is a man with a very positive mindset). Afridi also criticised the Modi government, accusing it of ill-treating Pakistan. The BJP responded by asserting that enemies of India are friends of Rahul Gandhi. In a counter-move, the Congress party accused the BJP of "hobnobbing" with Afridi.
