107 killed, 18 injured in stampede at satsang in UP's Hathras

107 people were killed while 18 injured in a stampede at a satsang in UP's Hathras on Tuesday, Aligarh Commissioner Chaitra V told India Today.

PM Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other leaders have expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the stampede. Yogi Adityanath announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh ex gratia for the families of the dead and Rs 50,000 each for the injured.

The Uttar Pradesh government said an FIR will be registered against the organisers of the programme.
