The arrest of Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in cash-for-jobs scam has triggered a war of words between the ruling DMK, BJP and the AIDMK, the opposition parties in the state. The DMK minister complained of chest pain and broke down when he was being taken to a hospital for a medical checkup by the probe agency on Wednesday morning. Balaji has been arrested in connection with a money laundering case. While the DMK has condemned Balaji's arrest, the BJP and AIADMK have called for the dismissal of Balaji from the cabinet of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. DMK Rajya Sabha MP NR Elango termed V Senthil Balaji's arrest by the ED as "illegal" and "unconstitutional".
