Maharashtra Samajwadi Party chief Abu Asim Azmi expressed disappointment over the lack of coordination within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), accusing Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP of internal conflicts over seat-sharing during the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Speaking on the party's decision to defy the MVA's call to skip the oath-taking ceremony for newly elected MLAs, Azmi said, "We were never invited to MVA's coordination meetings. During the Lok Sabha elections, there was better unity. However, Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP kept fighting over seats, which is why we lost the Maharashtra Assembly elections."
