Rift in TMC: Mamata Banerjee fills working committee with veterans

Amid differences between the old and new guard in the Trinamool Congress, party supremo Mamata Banerjee has appointed TMC veterans to the newly formed working committee. This comes after the existing national working committee was dissolved. The new office bearers include Amit Mitra, Partha Chatterjee, Subrata Bakshi, Sudip Bandopadhyay, Anubrata Mondal, Aroop Biswas, Firhad Hakim and Yashwant Sinha. Mamata Banerjee also retained her nephew Abhishek Banerjee in his post as TMC's national general secretary.
