Restraint the use of force: Delhi Police on Jamia protest

A day after violent protests shook the national capital over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act, the Delhi Police on Monday rejected all charges of using excessive force against students of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

The Delhi Police claimed that many rumours are being spread on social media about the police action. However, media reports said the Delhi Police used excessive force to dispel the protesters near Jamia Nagar on Sunday. Students were beaten, detained by the police too, said media reports.
