RBI's youngest deputy governor Viral Acharya resigns citing personal reasons

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Deputy Governor Viral Acharya on Monday resigned from his post citing to personal reasons. There are speculations that his resignation is a result of his vocal stand against the Centre.

Viral Acharya had joined the central bank in January 2013 and was RBI's youngest deputy governor, who quit six months before the scheduled end of his term.
