Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala on Tuesday hit out at Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari by saying that the latter has committed "a grave travesty of democracy and made a mockery of the Constitution in recommending President's rule in Maharashtra".
Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam also slammed the governor for overruling the deadline given to NCP to stake claim to form the government in the state.
