Ram temple's inauguration will kickstart the process of reconciliation: Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Lieutenant General Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Shah, former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, shared his insights on the prospects of reconciliation between the Hindu and Muslim communities in the aftermath of the Ram temple inauguration. 

Drawing upon his extensive dialogue with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Shah expressed hope that the inauguration of the Ram temple will end historic conflicts and foster peace. His belief that Muslims have reconciled to the creation of the temple signifies a critical shift in interfaith relations in India's sociopolitical stage. This move is seen as a crucial step towards bridge building and initiating a much-needed interfaith dialogue in the country. Shah acknowledges the moderate stance taken by the RSS and hopes that the spirit of tolerance and patience will be embraced by all communities in the times to come.
