Watch: Rajya Sabha ruckus sparks political furore, allegations of manhandling fly

Stormy scenes played out in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday after the passage of the Constitution amendment bill. Opposition MPs tore papers and stormed into the Well of the House shouting anti-government slogans. They were prevented from going anywhere near the table of the House or the chair by a wall of about 50 security staff. However, this led to some jostling with the marshals as the lawmakers attempted to break the cordon. Amid the melee, Opposition MPs claim they were manhandled by the marshals. The government has staunchly denied the allegation, instead charging that the Opposition members of manhandling the security staff and even wounding a woman marshal.
