The eight Rajya Sabha MPs suspended for unruly behaviour ended their dharna on the lawns inside the Parliament Complex on Tuesday to show solidarity with opposition MPs who walked out of the Upper House during the ongoing Monsoon Session. The opposition MPs have threatened to boycott the rest of the Monsoon Session of the Rajya Sabha till their demands are met. Several opposition party MPs from the Congress and NCP want the suspension of eight MPs revoked. They have also demanded that the government introduce a bill that ensures private platers do not procure food grains below the minimum support price (MSP) fixed by the government.
