Rajasthan Police Seize 150 kg Explosives in Tonk; DSP Mrityunjay Mishra Links Vigil to Delhi Blast

In a major security operation on New Year's Eve, Rajasthan Police seized an explosives-laden Maruti Ciaz in Tonk. DSP Mrityunjay Mishra confirmed the recovery of 150 kg of illegal ammonium nitrate concealed in urea fertiliser bags, along with 200 explosive cartridges and over 1,000 metres of safety fuse wire. The vehicle, intercepted in the Baroni Police Station area, was reportedly transporting the material from Bundi to Tonk. Two accused, Surendra Mochi and Surendra Patwa, have been arrested. Authorities are investigating potential links to illegal mining or other activities, amid heightened vigilance following the recent deadly blast near Delhi's Red Fort.
