Rajasthan Dy CM Prem Chand Bairwa Defends Chomu Bulldozer Action: 'In Support of Law'

Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa has issued a stern warning to rioters following the stone-pelting incident in Chomu on December 26. Defending the administration's subsequent anti-encroachment drive, Bairwa stated, 'This bulldozer action is not against anyone, but in support of the law.' He emphasized that Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s government maintains a zero-tolerance policy against anti-social elements who disturb peace. The violence erupted when stones were pelted at police during an initial removal of stones near a mosque at the Chomu bus stand, injuring several officers. In response, authorities have targeted illegal structures, including slaughterhouses, asserting that no one is above the law.
