Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray has left Mumbai for Aurangabad where he will hold the much anticipated rally on May 1. The meeting will take place on the grounds of Aurangabad's Sanskiritk Krida Mandal Maidan.
The rally is being held to protest against the recital of azaan using loudspeakers atop mosques.
Earlier this month, Thackeray had addressed a rally in Mumbai's Shivaji Park, where he said, "Why are loudspeakers in mosques played at such high volume? If this is not stopped, there will be speakers outside mosques playing Hanuman Chalisa at higher volume.â
