Protesting farmers stop Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's convoy

Protesting farmers stopped the car of Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in Tiruchirappalli on Monday. The National Rivers Unification Farmers Union has been staging a 32-day-long demonstration road to draw attention to various grievances. Demands include fair Minimum Support Prices (MSP), loan waivers, river unification, alongside opposition to the construction of a dam over Mekedathu. In a unique display of protest, farmers held thigh bones in their mouths to symbolise their struggle against starvation. These farmers successfully intercepted Udhayanidhi Stalin's convoy and presented a petition outlining their demands.
