Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday took a dig at the Yogi-led government for âspreading anarchyâ and alleged that democracy is being ripped off in the state.
The Congress leader, who arrived in Lucknow, also accused the UP government of inciting violence during the recent panchayat elections. While addressing a press conference, Priyanka Gandhi said, "There is a cheerful haran of democracy in Uttar Pradesh.â
She questioned the appreciation "certificate" given by PM Narendra Modi to Yogi Adityanath in fighting Covid-19. "The prime minister came here. He lauded Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for successfully handling the second wave of Covid-19. Secondly, he said that development has taken place in Uttar Pradesh. What kind of development is this?" she said.
