President Murmu Creates History, Undertakes Sortie on Submarine INS Vagsheer at Karwar

In a historic event, President Droupadi Murmu undertook a sortie aboard the indigenous submarine INS Vagsheer at the Karwar Naval Base. The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces became only the second Indian head of state to undertake such a voyage, following Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in 2006. She was accompanied by Naval Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi during the sortie. The report highlights visuals of the President on the Scorpene-class submarine.
