Watch: Political face-off over seer Kalicharan Maharaj's arrest

A political row has erupted following the arrest of Hindu religious leader Kalicharan Maharaj on Thursday. The seer was arrested by Chhattisgarh Police from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, However, Madhya Pradesh’s home minister Narottam Mishra has objected to the “unilateral move” by the Chhattisgarh Police, alleging that they did not follow due protocol while arresting Kalicharan Maharaj. Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has denied the charge, stating that no rules were violated and the arrest was made in accordance with procedures.
