PM Modi in Rajya Sabha: Congress mukt Bharat Gandhi's idea, not mine

PM Narendra Modi's speech in Lok Sabha was marked with massive Opposition sloganeering, while his Rajya Sabha speech proceeded in relative peace with the MPs largely renaming silent.

While attempting to keep the MPs quiet, chairman Naidu was seen reprimanding Congress's Renuka Chowdhury. To this, PM Modi said, "Chairmen sir, don't interrupt Renukaji... it is after Ramayan that we are hearing such loud l;aughter." The PM's comment evoked loud laughter from the government benches.

Nearing the end of his speech, PM Modi once again strongly pitched the idea of holding simultaneous polls in the country.

"Let us have a constructive discussion on holding simultaneous Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections in the various states," PM Modi said.
