PM Modi in Assam: Rs 19,000 crore projects announced, terror barb at Congress

Following his visit to Manipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled development projects in Assam worth over Rs 19,000 crore, spanning infrastructure, connectivity, and energy. Alongside the developmental push, he launched a political offensive against the Congress party, accusing it of supporting terrorism backed by Pakistan and siding with anti-national forces.

PM Modi praised Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma's government for taking strong action against illegal encroachers. The Prime Minister also slammed the Congress for opposing the Bharat Ratna for Assamese icon Bhupen Hazarika, quoting an alleged remark by the Congress President: "Modi nachane gane walon ko Bharat Ratna de raha hai."
