PM Modi calls for 'Caste Dahan' on Dussehra, Opposition reacts

Addressing a Dussehra rally on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the elimination of casteism and regionalism, in a veiled dig at the Bihar caste census. Speaking at a Dussehra event at Ram Leela Maidan in Dwarka, he also encouraged people to make 10 commitments, one of which included improving the socio-economic condition of at least one impoverished family. Opposition parties have slammed Modi for the comment. The JDU has called him "the most casteist prime minister".
