Video: Opposition protests in Parliament, demands GST rollback on medical insurance

INDIA alliance leaders staged a protest outside Makar Dwar in Parliament on Tuesday, calling for a rollback of the GST on health and life insurance.

During the Zero Hour in Rajya Sabha on Monday, the TMC leader mentioned a letter from senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, making a similar demand.

In a letter dated July 28 to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Gadkari contended that taxing insurance premiums amounts to taxing life's uncertainties and impedes the growth of the insurance sector.
