Opposition alleges conspiracy in Kerala secretariat fire

Congress and BJP staged a protest in Thiruvananthapuram after alleging that fire at Secretariat has destroyed important documents including files on Kerala gold scam.

The opposition Congress and BJP have alleged that the fire was an attempt to destroy important files related to the Gold smuggling case, in which CM Vijayan is under scanner. Congress and BJP workers staged protest outside the secretariat building. Water cannon was used on the protesters.

Meanwhile, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac said that the files can be retrived as all documents are scanned and stored as digital copies.
