Northeast flood situation: Over 30 dead amid floods and landslides, lakhs affected

Incessant rains and flash floods have devastated northeast India, causing over 30 deaths and displacing lakhs of people. Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram are facing severe flooding, with 10 major rivers flowing above danger levels. In Assam alone, over 5 lakh people are affected. The Indian Army and NDRF are conducting round-the-clock rescue operations. Manipur has experienced 47 landslides in 48 hours, while Arunachal Pradesh reported 10 casualties and significant infrastructure damage.
