No stay on CAA, Centre has 4 weeks to respond to pleas: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to put a stay on the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) amid nationwide protests against the citizenship law. The apex court also said that it will set up a five-judge constitution bench to hear the large number of petitions filed against CAA.

The apex court also gave four weeks' time to the central government to respond to the petitions challenging the constitutional validity of CAA. For more, watch this video.
