Slogans raised against Proctor, no connection to BBC series, say Jamia students

Chaos ensued in Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University on Wednesday after members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) announced the screening of the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Students who were locked inside the university campus told India Today that they have no connection to the documentary and they were sloganeering against the Proctor for not issuing a notice that the university gates would be shut. 

Students said they have exams to write and they wish to study for them. They further added that even if the screening took place, it would take place elsewhere on the campus and closing the main gates was "unreasonable".
