Nirmala Sitharaman calls PM Modi's US State visit 'impactful', Egypt tour 'historic'

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden State visit to the US and called it "impactful". She also praised PM Modi's announcement that Indian professionals can renew their H1B visas without travelling abroad.

Sitharaman also said PM Modi's State visit to Egypt was "historic". His visit to the African country was the first by an Indian Prime Minister since 1997.
