Muslim man lynched by mob, forced to chant Jai Shri Ram, dies

A mob in Jharkhand thrashed a Muslim man accusing him of stealing a motorbike. He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital on June 22

Several videos of the Jharkhand mob lynching have gone viral. The angry mob tied the man to a pole and started beating him up with sticks. Not only that, but the mob also forced him to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Jai Hanuman'.

The incident has sparked national outrage. The man can be seen pleading and begging the people to stop assaulting him in the video.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed the BJP government over the incident saying that this is a clear pattern of lynching against the Muslims who are killed over suspicion.
