Mumbai's St Xavier's College gets its first non-Christian Principal

Mumbai's prestigious St Xavier's College got its first non Christian Principal. Dr Rajendra Shinde or 'Raju Sir' as he is fondly called by students, became Principal of the institution which was founded in 1869.

A professor of Botany, Shinde is popular among students of St Xavier's College for his lectures and genial nature.
