Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has demanded that the security provided to separatists must be removed.
"There is no difference between separatists and terrorists nowadays. Both are equally dangerous", Naqvi said.
The remarks come a day after Jammu and Kashmir's Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ayub Pandit was lynched to death by a mob at Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of Srinagar.
Reacting to separatist leaders' comments that Ayub Pandit wasn't their officer, but a state officer, Naqvi said, "Killing of Army or police officers is equally condemnable. One can't discriminate between killings as not one of our own people. Everyone in the service of the country belongs to us."
The lynching of Jammu and Kashmir's DSP Mohammad Ayub Pandit by a mob at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar is shockingly inhuman, Naqvi added.
"The involvement of separatist leaders in acts of violence is worrying", he went on to say.
"They are a threat to our country's security. Why should they be given any security", the Union Minister added.
