Video: Monsoon fury in Himachal, cars, bridges washed away in flash floods

Heavy rains led to a massive increase in water inflow at the Bhakra-Nangal Dam in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. 

Also, a portion of a bridge, along the Beas River in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, was washed away following massive landslides. Traffic has been disrupted between Mandi and Kullu as several vehicles remain stranded along the highway. 

After heavy rains, due to the sudden increase in water in the Grahan drain flowing along Kasol, the vehicles parked along the Kasol market have been hit by it.

The weather department here has issued a "red" alert for several districts in Himachal Pradesh. It further warned that extremely heavy rainfall is likely to continue in the state.
